Today I head toward downtown.

Park Circle

I leave Hanahan late for the Charleston area "team" training ride from Johns Island.

I go toward their return to meet riders coming back from the usual 60 mile training ride.

I love taking pics of Quarterman Park.

In my opinion I nail a bunch of nice pics all in a row.

One of my favorite trees.

These are pretty good pictures for "ride-by-shooting".

.

Friendly waves from the yardsalers.

Another area I photo often.

I took pictures of my favorite spots in the mountains as well.
.
Interesting buildings are always catching my eye.

I love the old schools.

I got a really good "good morning" from this gent.

I imagine him to be the pastor or elder at the church.

I veer to the right and lower right on the map to head toward the Citadel and bridges to Johns Island.

"California Dreaming" restaurant is in the forefront.

This is what you wind up with when you just take a chance and hold the camera back over your shoulder.

The church where we usually meet for the Saturday morning ride.

These guys have been beating each other up all day.

Some of them have about 70 or more hard miles in at this point.

So I come along pretty fresh and push the pace.

They had a lot left.

The rider on the back was doing no work at all.

We didn't want it to come down to a sprint with mother.

I was sure we could drop the tandem.

I like this statue of me that was erected downtown.

.
The horse thought that these folks could be on bicycles.

I kept the ride very civilized and stopped here for an espresso..

. I then rode the Ravenel/Wonders Way Bridge twice in both directions.

This is a great place to ponder.

This "dude in green" below was hard to keep up with.

I actually got dropped when we both stopped for pedestrians who took all lanes then caught back up.

Instead of turning left by Quartermain Park I go straight to North St. and toward Old North Charleston.

Park Circle is just up the small, gradual hill.

North street and retirement homes.

I take a right on Durant and then left on Pittman.

Pittman swings you right around to N. Rhett at I-26.
