Diane Borde Sutherland has a studio on Cane Creek Road in Bakersville. Justin Guerard creates his glass masterpieces in TOECANE near Loafers Glory.
Another class act that's hard to follow is that of Pat and Dan Dowd. The two are responsible for some outstanding paintings. Their studio is the "Mountain Hill Country Gallery" and is located in Kona on Highway 80.
Pat & Dan have painted the cabin that once belonged to "Frankie and Charlie". The church next to the "Mountain Hill Country Gallery" is home to their "frescos".
The Toe River area is home to some of the finest artists in the world! Mitchell County is also home to the Penland School of Crafts!
Penland School of Crafts is located between Bakersville and Spruce Pine!
